For one year prior to COVID, GMIT Voices were a large staff choir. When the Atlantic Technological University came into existence in April 2022, a new Choir Director was recruited (the fantastic Fionnuala Hannigan Dunkley) and the staff choir was up and running again but with reduced numbers because many staff are still working from home. All of the members are thoroughly enjoying being back singing a wide variety of genres of music together on Tues/Thurs lunchtimes.
It was only set up in March 2022 by Musical Director Shane Farrell. They rehearse weekly in Loughrea and cover a variety of genres. There is no audition requirement, all Shane asks for is a love for singing and that you are up for having fun.
They are looking forward to where the future takes BRAVO Belles.
