The Deise Singers

The Deise Singers are a SATB choir based in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. It was founded by the singer Lena Walsh in 2008, and in 2011, Fiona Tobin took over as musical director.

The choir perform all genres of music, but have a flair for folk, popular and music theatre arrangements. They also sing separately as a male and female choir. They perform annually at Christmas and Summer time.

New members are always welcome. Practice CD's are available, so don't worry if you can't sight read! While the aim is to perform to a very high standard, there is a strong emphasis in The Deise Singers on having fun, making friends and enjoying the camaraderie of the choir.

Practice takes place every Monday night at 7.30 in Dungarvan from September till May.

Edmund Rice Choral and Musical Society

Edmund Rice Choral and Musical Society is an all-female choir based in Waterford City singing for the entertainment of others and the enjoyment of themelves. Through regular performances, sharing music with other groups and frequent social outings for members, ERCMS strives to promote the enjoyment of music for all. Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 7.45-9.45 pm in the Chapel of the Edmund Rice International Heritage Centre, Barrack Street, Waterford. Madrigallery choir

Madrigallery choir is a mixed voice choir situated in Waterford City. Madrigallery began as a mixed summer ensemble singing predominantly Madrigals. Over the years, the repertoire has expanded to encompass a wider genre and era.

The choir is over twenty years old, with some of the original members still active participants. Choir practice takes place every Tuesday evening from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. Practice session are held in St Joseph’s School, Parnell Street, Waterford.

New Ross Singers

New Ross Singers have been in existence since the early 80’s when some members of New Ross Musical Society wished to continue singing together throughout the year.  Founder and director Connie Tantrum is a former musical director of the Society.  The choir has been to the forefront of choral singing in New Ross, presenting an annual Christmas Concert and singing at various local events.  With the aid of Inter-reg funding they have sung at St David’s in Wales,  and have participated in Messiah for Somalia at the former Point Theatre and in Voices of the World in Dublin and Rome, as well as singing in a Karl Jenkins premiere, Gods of Olympus,  in the Royal Albert Hall in London two years ago.

They have competed in Cork, Navan and the AIMS Choral Festivals.  Other performances include Schubert’s Mass in F, Stainer’s Crucifixion, Bach’s St Luke’s Passion, Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Handel’s Messiah , and more recently an evening of Operatic Choruses with soloists and orchestra.  They also have a wide repertoire of light music, such as Putting on the Ritz, Bohemian Rhapsody, Showboat excerpts, etc, etc

It is a mixed voice choir with about 50 members at any one time, and is a community choir where all are welcome as long as they can sing in tune.



VoiceOver choir is a small dedicated group of experienced singers based in Dungarvan Co. Waterford who love to sing from popular to classical pieces. Established by Mary Lawless in Autumn 2014 the Choirs highlights include; performing on air as part of RTE Lyric FM’s Carol for Christmas Competition 2015 ; participating in the official ceremonies for Ireland 2016 singing our especially commissioned Centenary music, hosting an Autumn Concert with guest Soprano Cara O’Sullivan and singing solo and with massed choirs in Waterford Lions Club WLR FM  Christmas Appeal Concert 2016.  We practice on Tuesday nights from 7.30 – 9 pm.   Find and like us on FB.

Waterford Male Voice Choir

Waterford Male Voice Choir, now in its tenth year, has become one of the premier male voice choirs in the country. From an initial group of just ten members, the choir has gone from strength to strength and now has 50 singers. The choir's wide, varied repertoire is drawn from around the world. The choir is directed by Cian O’Carroll and ably assisted by Cecilia Kehoe as accompanist. The choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 8pm at Glor Na Mara Primary School, Tramore, Co. Waterford.
