Virginia Singers

The Virginia Singers, a mixed voice choral group under the baton of Mary Whelan, celebrated its 25th birthday in 2009.  Each year they hold a carol concert, as well as joining with the community at the Church of Ireland on the Sunday before Christmas. Their repertoire covers old favourites and lesser-known lullabies from places as far apart as Venezuela and the Ukraine.  Before breaking for the summer months in May, they also hold a concert in the Ramor Theatre, Virginia.  The group rehearses every Thursday at 8.30 pm at the GAA hall. New members welcome.
