Sing Ireland Strategic Plan Summary

Sing Ireland complies with the Charities Regulator’s Charities Governance Code and is fully committed to achieving the standards contained within this code. We review compliance on a regular basis and report on this annually to the Charities Regulator.

We adhere to the six principles of the Charities Governance Code:

• Behaving with integrity
• Leading people
• Exercising control
• Working effectively
• Being accountable and transparent

Sing Ireland is fully committed to achieving the standards contained within the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations Fundraising from the Public issued by the Charity Regulator Authority. These Fundraising Codes of Good Practice help us ensure that we are doing the best we can to follow best practice and are operating in as transparent, effective and professional manner as possible within Sing Ireland.

We at Sing Ireland have considered these Guidelines and believe we meet the standards it sets out.

To actively demonstrate openness, transparency and integrity to our beneficiaries and donors, Sing Ireland is operating to the Charities Institute Ireland’s Triple Lock Standard.

Compliance is achieved by having the following in place:

• Ethical Fundraising
• Transparent Reporting, in compliance with Charity SORP (Standard of Reporting Practice under FRS102)
• Good Governance

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) America International Validation Organsiation credential provides validation that Sing Ireland is structured and operated as a nonprofit entity. As a donor, you can be assured that grant funds provided to this organisation will be used exclusively for charitable purposes, and that the organisation completed the completed an extensive due diligence process to guard against the risk of fraud, money laundering, or other illicit activities.

Sing Ireland prepares a trustees annual report and financial statements in full compliance with the Charity SORP (FRS102)

We listen and respond to the views of the general public and our supporters so that we can continue to improve. Sing Ireland welcomes both positive and negative feedback.

Sing Ireland is fully committed to a child-centred approach in our work with children and young people. It is central to the philosophy of Sing Ireland that children and young people are unconditionally respected and kept safe from harm while using our services.

In accordance with the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017 Sing Ireland’s Child Protection Policy has been implemented to minimise risk and foster an awareness of child protection issues among our staff, volunteers, primary carers and children or young people who are involved in Sing Ireland activities.
