Calling all secondary schools!

SingOUT! is an exciting development between the Association of Irish Choirs and Music Generation Offally Westmeath. It will be a super day of music making for young people and the sharing of expert knowledge & expertise in working with choirs with participating teachers.  This will be achieved by developing a unique Continual Professional Development opportunity for participating music teachers interested in choral singing.  Our aim is that SingOUT! will involve up to 150 young singers from around the country and that they will be joined by a super team of professional musicians and vocal coaches including the Singfest team and the MGOW Backline Band.

What does participation in SingOUT! offer:-
FOR TEACHERS: You will have access to e-resources curated by Alan Leech and Greg Beardsell.  Based around a shared repertoire, these resources will support in the developing of choral experiences for your pupils, and provide guidance on such issues as organising rehearsals, teaching songs and ideas on working with developing voices.  SingOUT! also gives you the chance to connect with your colleagues and share your choral singing experiences.
FOR PUPILS: Participating pupils will learn the shared repertoire before joining us in May for an full  day of workshops all about music and singing leading to a great big SingOUT!
In addition to the May Sing OUT! event, Alan Leech will deliver 2 workshops in the Midlands, which participating choirs should aim to attend.
