VOCI

VOCI is a female voice choir established by its conductor Anne Barry. The choir rehearses every second Thursday in Waterford city centre from 7.45 – 10.00pm. Since its establishment in 2005, the choir has been contributing to the musical life of the city, sharing concerts with other local groups. VOCI has had competitive successes at Arklow and New Ross Choral Festivals. The choir’s repertoire explores a range of music from early polyphony to arrangements of light music and also includes music by Irish composers. New members are welcome to audition in August.
An ability to sight read is not a requirement but is an advantage.

WIT Choral Music Programme

The WIT Choral Programme at WIT Music School provides opportunities for singers aged between 5 and 18 to continually progress and develop. In addition to busy schedules locally, the programme’s six choirs have performed at the National Concert Hall, featured in professional Opera productions, performed at international festivals in Prague and St. David’s Cathedral, Wales and have also won numerous prizes at many of Ireland’s national choral competitions. Auditions are held every June and choirs run from September to May.

W.I.T Singing Club (Senior infants, 1st class) Fri 3.45-4.30pm
W.I.T Children’s Choir (2nd, 3rd class) Fri 6.30-7.30pm
W.I.T Junior Girls’ Choir (3rd -5th  class) Fri 6.30-7.30pm
Waterford Boy Singers (4th class- 1st  year) Mon 7.15-8.30pm
Waterford Larks (5th class- 1st  year) Mon 7.15-8.30pm
W.I.T Youth Choir (2nd - 6th year) Thurs 5.30-7.00pm
