Baldonnel Singers
Established in 2003, The Baldonnel Singers is a 4 part, Male Voice Choir whose members live mainly in the South Dublin - North Kildare areas. Choir members span a diverse range of professions, county allegiance, vocal pitch, waist size and hairline ! The choir rehearses on a Tuesday evening from 8-10 pm at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel in West Dublin, by kind permission of the Air Corps. The choir has developed a wide and varied repertoire, which it performs in a number of concerts for charity each year at various venues around the country.

Ballinteer Male Voice Choir
Ballinteer Male Voice choir was founded in 1993, and numbers 30 members. Rehearsals are every Thursday in Our Lady's BNS, off Ballinteer Ave., from 8-10pm. Repertoire: Everything from pop to opera. BMVC has performed at many festivals in Europe, and hosts its own international male-voice festival every second year. Ability to read music is an advantage, but not essential.

Belvedere College Chamber Choir
The Belvedere College Chamber Choir directed by Ruaidhrí O’Dálaigh was established many years ago to give the older boys the opportunity to do some more challenging music in a chamber choir environment. The Chamber Choir is an a cappella group who sing repertoire from early medieval to modern 20th century composers.

Belvedere College Choir
The Belvedere College choir which is a boys SATB school choir based in Dublin. The ‘choir team’ comprises Ruaidhrí O’Dálaigh conductor, Frances Stoker-Phelan assistant conductor, and Patrice Keegan accompanist. The choir rehearses every Friday from 3.30-6pm to facilitate the many concerts and competitions the choir is involved in. The Annual Carol service and Musical Evening are the highlights, we maintain links with other schools, hosting choral projects and workshops. The choir’s repertoire varies from Fauré to the Beatles, Traditional Irish to World Music. The only requirement for admission to the choir is a love of singing and willingness to learn!

Belvedere College Junior Choir
The Belvedere College Junior Choir directed by Frances Stoker-Phelan was established in 2011 as a way to bring on the younger boys to help prepare them for the challenges of the larger Belvedere College Choir. The Junior Choir comprises trebles and altos only, and is a great opportunity for the juniors to establish themselves in their own right, develop their skills and explore SA material in addition to singing in the larger College Choir. The juniors have made an outstanding beginning winning at both Wesley Music Festival and the Feis Ceoil in their first year. These dedicated boys rehearse on Friday afternoons, as well as early mornings before school and at lunchtime. The main events for the Junior Choir are competitions, the Annual Carol Service and Musical Evening as well as being involved in workshops and joint choral projects with other schools.

Blue Heaven Barbershop Chorus
The Blue Heaven Barbershop Chorus is a male-voice choir, specialising in barbershop singing, but also including sea-shanties, calypsoes and other male-voice music in its repertoire. Founded in 1980, it numbers 26 members. It has sung all over Ireland, and also in Paris, Prague, Bruges and Wales. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings from 11.30 to 1pm, in Scoil Carmel, Firhouse Rd., close to exits 11 and 12 on the M50. New members are welcome at any time; an ability to harmonise with ease is a great advantage.

The CanBelto Ladies Choir
The CanBeltos were formed just over three years ago by husband and wife team, Carol and Jimmy O’Byrne. Based in Baldoyle,the choir performs mainly pop songs. They are in great demand for concerts and last year ran a concert with just the choir themselves which raised over €3,200 for The Dublin Simon Community. They take part every year in The A.I.M.S. Choral Festival in New Ross to great public acclaim. They have also competed in The Navan Choral Festival and last year travelled to the Lago di Garda Music Festival,at Lake Garda in Italy. The choir were asked to accompany Irish International Singing Star,Tommy Fleming for a series of concerts in The National Concert Hall in Dublin. Regular appearances at The Helix Theatre in Dublin include Sing out loud, Sing out strong (in support of World Mental Health Day), and, most recently, Christmas Crackers, the family sing-a-long show. Many people have asked about the name The CanBeltos. It is a play on the singing term Bel Canto or beautiful singing. We’re called The CanBeltos because we can really belt out a tune.

Cantairí Avondale
Cantairí Avondale is a mixed-voice choir based in Dublin city centre. The choir performs a wide variety of choral music including oratorio, a capella partsongs (both sacred and secular), jazz and modern classics. The choir puts on at least two concerts every year and has successfully competed in a number of choral competitions including AIMS Choral Festival New Ross, Navan Choral Festival and Cork International Choral Festival. Cantairí Avondale has a proud record in performing new choral works by Irish composers such as John Buckley, Marion Ingoldsby, Rhona Clarke and Michael Gallen.
Cantairí Avondale rehearses in Scoil Chaoimhín, (Department of Education), Marlborough Street on Mondays from 7.45 to 10.00pm. New members are welcome to audition at the start of each term. An ability to sight read is an advantage but not a requirement.

Cantóirí
Cantóirí is a mixed voice choir, which rehearses in Dublin City Centre on Monday nights. The choir’s repertoire spans the centuries from the Renaissance right up to current times. Cantóirí’s particular speciality is folk music from all around the world; for this, the choir draws on the language skills of its many international members. Each year Cantóirí undertakes a range of activities including a number of concerts and competitions, as well as outreach performances in care centres, hospices and other charitable events. Cantóirí has performed in the National Concert Hall, Spiegeltent, the Pepper Canister Church, The Helix, and Whelan’s. An ability to sight read is an advantage, but is not a requirement.

Cappella Choir
Cappella Choir is a mixed voice choir of about 30 members established in 1998 by experienced conductor Vincent Whelan. The choir rehearses every Thursday in Dublin City Centre from 7.15pm - 9.15pm. We like to sing a mixed repertoire including light pieces, classical, sacred and Irish works. The choir has performed with international artists in the NCH and for the President of Ireland. We regularly sing at festivals at home and abroad and at charity concerts. Cappella has taken prizes in international choral competitions in Ireland and Britain. We welcome new members and while sight-reading is an advantage it is not essential.

Choir of Christ Church Cathedral
The choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin enjoys an enviable reputation as one of Ireland’s finest choirs. With the largest repertoire of any cathedral choir in the country, covering more than five centuries and including many works commissioned especially for it, the choir is a mixed–voice ensemble of 24 professional adult singers. The choir sings five choral services each week and also undertakes concerts, CD recordings and broadcasts on both the RTÉ www.rte.ie and BBC www.bbc.co.uk networks. Christ Church Cathedral Girls’ Choir
Christ Church Cathedral Girls’ Choir was established in 1995 offering girls aged between 11 and 17 the opportunity to receive the unique musical education that a cathedral can offer. Membership of the Girls’ Choir instils discipline and high standards - valuable assets in later life. The girls rehearse twice weekly, receiving expert training and voice tuition. The girls Evensong on Wednesdays during term and frequently join forces with the cathedral’s adult choir for major services and concerts. Choristers come from schools in the Dublin area and are given Chorister Scholarships. Potential applicants are offered an informal interview at any time.

Culwick Choral Society
The Culwick Choral Society (founded 1898 by Dr James C. Culwick, a co-founder of Feis Ceoil) is a mixed-voice amateur choir of 140 members working with a professional musical director and chorus master. The Culwick performs with professional soloists and professional orchestral musicians in major venues such as the National Concert Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral. Annual performances include: a major work in Spring, a Christmas concert, two performances of Handel’s Messiah for a charity. Rehearsals: Wesley House, Leeson Park, Dublin 6, Thursdays, 7.45pm. Diva Voces
Diva Voces is a female-voice choir established by experienced conductor, Liz Powell. The choir rehearses every second Monday from 7:30 - 10pm and one Sunday a month from 2-5pm in a Dublin city centre venue. Set up in 2006, the choir has grown both in standard and in size and now numbers 28 singers. The choir’s repertoire is wide-ranging; from Pergolesi to Cole Porter and encompasses classical, blues, jazz, spiritual and pop. New members are welcome at the start of each term. Dolce
Dolce is a mixed voice choir (SATB) based on the northside of Dublin, with practices in Dominican College, Griffith Avenue, Thursdays 8pm-10pm. We have a membership of around 50. Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir
The Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir is a four part choir (first tenor, second tenor, baritone, bass) comprising 60+ members, based in the Royal Hospital in Donnybrook, Dublin 4. While we have a district Welsh ethos, over half the choristers are Irish, with a small number of other nationalities, such as Dutch, Scottish and English. As well as having an extensive repertoire of Welsh music, we sing in other languages including Irish, English, French, Italian and Finnish. The Choir owes its origins to the St. David’s Society, formed in the late 19th Century to assist indigent Welsh seamen who were stranded in Dublin. The Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir welcomes new recruits and particularly tenors. New members do not need to be Welsh or be able to speak Welsh.

Enchiriadis Treis
Enchiriadis Treis is a mixed voice choir founded in 1994 by Musical Director Dr Marion Doherty Hayden. The choir rehearses every Thursday night in Scoil Iosa, Malahide, from 7.30 – 9.45. Since its establishment, the Choir has contributed greatly to its local community, by performing for local and national charities, and by regularly performing the major oratorios as well as other large-scale works with orchestra. The choir has travelled extensively in Europe where it likes to perform a wide range of music by Irish composers. New members are welcome, and Tenors are very welcome. Fingal Chamber Choir
Fingal Chamber Choir was founded in September 2006 by its conductor, David Maxwell. Members were recruited by advertising in the three free local newspapers in the Fingal area. Fingal Chamber Choir is a mixed voice (SATB) choir performing music drawn mainly the classical sacred music repertoire with some light music thrown in. Programmes have included Fauré Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria and Osta Picta, Haydn’s Little Organ Mass. The choir also gives an annual Gala Christmas concert in the Macullins Centre, Lusk, Co. Dublin. F.C.C. rehearses on Monday nights in Balbriggan from 7.30 to 9.30pm. New members are always welcome. The ability to sight singing is an advantage and there is an audition.

Firhouse Singers
The Firhouse Singers is a mixed voice choir, 50 strong, established in 1976 by Ray Ryan. It rehearses every Wednesday night (8-10) in Scoil Carmel, Firhouse Rd., close to exits 11 and 12 on the M50. The varied repertoire includes popular music, songs from the shows, calypsoes, spirituals, and the occasional light operatic chorus. The choir has sung in such venues as the National Concert Hall, Castletown House and The Civic Theatre, raising tens of thousands of euro for charity over the years. The Frascati Singers
Founded in 2001, the Frascati Singers is a mixed voice choral group based in Blackrock, Co Dublin, and now boasts a membership of over 30. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 8.00 - 10.00 pm. The choir sings compositions in a wide range of styles:- sacred, folk, popular, seasonal and contemporary, including some by founding director Mary Kelly.
Under current director, Mairéad Déiseach, the Frascati Singers continues its programme of participation in festivals, local concerts and charity support. The choir is now recruiting Tenors and Basses.

Gloria
Gloria Dublin’s Lesbian and Gay Choir was established in 1995 to allow lesbian and gay men to sing together and to promote a positive image of the lgbt community. The choir has grown and become highly successful both within the lgbt and choral communities. The choir’s repertoire is wide ranging; from musicals to madrigals and from classical to camp. The songs are chosen sometimes to surprise, sometimes to challenge, but always to entertain!

Goethe-Institut Choir, Dublin
The Goethe-Institut Choir boasts a refreshing mix of singers of all ages and many nationalities. Since its foundation in 1965, the Choir has been a vital and vibrant part of Dublin’s cultural life, enriching many events with its music.
The Choir performs at least three concerts per year, including the very popular Christmas Concert in the National Concert Hall, Dublin. The performance schedule also includes annual concerts performed in spring and summer, in addition to special events such as the St. Cecilia Orchestra’s Bach Cantata Series or the Carmichael Centre’s Good Friday concert held annually in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin
Guinness Choir
The Guinness Choir, a mixed voice choir of 120, was established in 1951 by the late Victor Leeson. David Milne has been the Choir’s Musical Director since 1991. The Choir performs large scale works with orchestra and its repertoire now includes many of the choral works of all the major composers. In October 2008, the choir was joined by the Ulster Orchestra in a critically acclaimed all Bach programme. The choir rehearses each Tuesday evening in Dublin City Centre. An ability to sight read is required.

Iveagh Singers
The Iveagh Singers are a 10-piece vocal ensemble rehearsing regularly in the city centre of Dublin. The group, directed by Josh Johnston, was formed in January 2010 and sings a wide range of good choral music, preferring this approach than to confine itself to one period or style. They have performed regularly around Ireland since their inception including a headlining concert at the invitation of the Dunlavin Arts Festival in June 2011. Josh is always interested in people who would like to sing with the Iveagh Singers and is particularly looking for tenors at the moment.

Lambay Singers
The Lambay Singers is a mixed-voice community choir, established by Cliona Ardiff in 1998. The choir rehearses every Thursday in the Waterside Hotel, Donabate, from 8.00 – 10.00 and performs regularly in Donabate and Swords, Co. Dublin. Leinster Singers
The Leinster Singers (Ladies) Youth Choir was formed in January 2003 by their conductor Ann Fetherston, evolving from St Pius X Dublin, church choir. They have been regular prizewinners at Feis Ceoil, Dublin and New Ross Music Festival. The Leinster Singers rehearse every Wednesday from 7.15 to 9.15 in south Dublin. They have sung at Siemens Feis Ceoil/National Concert Hall Young Platform Series and Siemens Feis Ceoil/European Parliament Concert, celebrating Ireland’s Presidency of the EU. There is a very friently atmosphere and new members are welcome. An ability to sight read is not a requirement but is an advantage.

The Mornington Singers is an award-winning mixed-voice chamber choir conducted by Orla Flanagan. The 35 members come from all over Europe and further afield. Repertoire is broad with an emphasis on a capella and contemporary pieces. We perform concerts throughout the year both in Ireland and abroad. Recent venues included Leinster House, Electric Picnic and Tallinn, Estonia. Awards include 1st prizes at Cork Choral Festival and Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas. New Dublin Voices
New Dublin Voices, an award-winning chamber choir based in Dublin, Ireland, was founded by conductor Bernie Sherlock in October 2005. NDV, whose concerts range in style and period from the medieval to the contemporary, takes special pleasure in exploring the music of living composers and has given many Irish premières, as well as eight world premières of works by Irish composers. As well as giving concerts, NDV is a regular participant in competitions, both internationally and at home in Ireland. The Portmarnock Singers

Resurgam
Resurgam makes a unique and distinctive contribution to Ireland’s musical life, and is widely acknowledged to be one of the country’s most accomplished vocal ensembles. The choir was established in 2003 and is a project-based ensemble of up to 24 voices comprising some of Ireland’s finest choral singers. Resurgam has performed in many venues throughout Ireland and also in the UK, and has featured in several major Irish festivals, including the Cork International Choral Festival, Ardee Baroque and the Galway Early Music Festival. The choir has worked with many internationally renowned conductors, including Laurence Cummings, Christian Curnyn and Gary Cooper, as well as its own founder-director Mark Duley. Revenue Choir
The Revenue Choir was formed in 2005.It is a mixed voice choir with a membership of 30 members..The choir rehearses every Tuesday evening in Dublin city centre from 6pm to 8pm.The choir has performed at a number of Revenue functions including the annual mass in the Pro-Cathedral and in Farmleigh House before an invited international audience. One of the highlights of the choir’s 2007 calendar was singing for the Taoiseach and the press just before Christmas. Rockmount Choir
Rockmount Choir is a female voice choir of 40+ members, based in Foxrock, Co. Dublin since 1977. The Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening in Hollypark Boys School from 8 – 10pm. Repertoire varies widely and includes classical, jazz, early music and works by contemporary Irish composers. For over 30 years, the choir has maintained a high standard of competitive performance at festivals throughout Ireland and the UK, and is particularly proud of an award from Verona, Italy. Their increasingly popular Christmas concert is held each year in Stillorgan, on the 2nd Sunday of December. New members are always welcome; an ability to read music is not necessary.

RTÉ Cór na nÓg
RTÉ Cór na nÓg was founded by Colin Mawby in 1987 and consists of over 60 children aged 10-16 from all parts of Dublin and surrounding counties. As well as providing excellent musical training there is a strong emphasis on the enjoyment of music-making as well as the hard work and commitment required. Their unique relationship with RTÉ leads to varied and exciting performance opportunities with regular broadcasts on national radio and television and collaborations with artists of the highest calibre.
The choir rehearses during term-time on Wednesday evenings, 5.30-7pm and Saturday mornings, 10am-12noon and members are expected to regularly attend both. Auditions for each new September intake are held in March, with applications open from January. Children need to be 10 by September of the year they apply, and boy’s voices unbroken.

RTÉ Philharmonic Choir
The RTÉ Philharmonic Choir has been at the heart of music-making in Ireland since its foundation by Colin Mawby in 1985 and has become the country’s finest symphonic choral ensemble, performing around 5 concerts each year mainly with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, and broadcasting regularly on RTÉ lyric fm. The choir rehearses each Wednesday evening in RTÉ with the Season running from September to May. General auditions are usually held in May, but applications can be taken during the year and new members heard at other times if agreed by the Chorus Master and Choral Officer. The ability to sight-read reasonably well is important.

The Gaudete Singers
The Gaudete Singers is a mixed voice chamber choir directed by David Leigh, Assistant Organist at St Patrick’s Cathedral. The choir was established in 1976 by eight friends, initially with no conductor. In 1978 this responsibility was taken up by Joe Ryan, who continued to direct in competitions and concerts until 1990. Since then, the choir has been conducted by David Milne, Gráinne Gormley and Andrew Johnstone. The choir sings mainly a capella and the repertoire extends from early music to the 21st century often in double choir formation. We are about 20 singers and hold 3 concerts per year. Sacred works are performed in the Lady Chapel of St Patrick’s Cathedral in November and St Bartholomew’s Church, Clyde Road in March/April and a secular concert in The Unitarian Church in St Stephen’s Green in May/June. We have a convivial glass of wine with our audience after each concert!

The People's College Choir
The People’s College Choir is a mixed-voice choir (SATB) of 50 members. It was founded in 1993 as part of the wider cultural programme of courses and subjects offered by the People’s College Adult Education Association, Dublin. The members of the choir range from all parts of Dublin and their repertoire reflects their eclectic musical tastes; from madrigals, spirituals and traditional Irish airs to arrangements of modern popular songs. The choir performs at a variety of functions, concerts and charitable events. It has participated in festivals both at home and abroad, having travelled to Denmark (2000), Italy (2004) and Austria (2008) and has undertaken choral exchanges with other European choirs, most notably with Chantes Esnandes (France 2007) and Coral lo Lliri (Spain 2010). The choir rehearses every Tuesday night from 8.30 – 10.00 pm in Club na Muinteóirí (the Teachers’ Club), Parnell Square. New members are welcome and sight reading is not a necessity.

Ulysses Chamber Choir
We are an award winning mixed voice (SATB) Dublin based choir founded in 1992, with a current membership of 25 singers. The group is made up of diverse and dynamic singers performing challenging music from across the musical spectrum and combines a fresh, fun atmosphere with top-quality music making. Our core objective is to enjoy making beautiful choral music.

University of Dublin Choral Society
Founded in 1837, The University of Dublin Choral Society (UDCS) is the oldest and largest choir in Trinity College. We are a four part mixed voice choir, consisting of undergraduates, postgraduates and staff. Choral specialises in performing large-scale choral works with full orchestral accompaniment both within and outside the walls of Trinity College. We typically perform two concerts per year, with one in each of the main terms, Michaelmas Term and Hilary Term. We rehearse each week on Wednesday evenings in Regent House (just above Front Arch) from 7pm until 9pm under the direction of our professional conductor, David Leigh. We enthusiastically encourage people of all voices and ages to join the society. While previous experience of choral singing or the ability to read music is advantageous, the most important requirements are to have a love of music and to be willing to put in hard work!
