Our Executive Team
Dermot O'Callaghan
Chief Executive Officer
Dermot is CEO of Sing Ireland and is responsible for delivering on Sing Ireland’s vision, strategy, and remit. He builds relationships with stakeholders, funders, and partners.
Dermot’s career to date has also seen him work with Opera Theatre Company and Chamber Choir Ireland. He has worked as a choral and orchestral conductor, vocal and instrumental teacher, and as a facilitator and holds a B.A., B.Mus. and M.A. in Arts Management. Dermot is also the President of the European Choral Association.
Jenny O'Connor-Madsen
General Manager
Jenny is General Manager of Sing Ireland and responsible for the operations of the organisation, as well as playing a key role in the artistic design and management of Sing Ireland’s programmes, training and activities.
Jenny has a BA in Music and English, an MA and PhD in Musicology. Her research interests are the role of Women and Music in Ireland. She has worked on the development of music education programmes In Ireland with a number of organisations, including the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Music Generation, at both a local and national level. She was part of the 2022 Cohort for the Global Leaders Program.
Cecelia Molumby
Development Officer
Cecelia is responsible for creating a culture of fundraising as part of Sing Ireland’s work, as well as playing a key role in Sing Ireland’s growth and change plans.
Cecelia joined Sing Ireland as part of the Fundraising Fellowship, Ireland programme in partnership with Business to Arts and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Cecelia holds an M. Phil. in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Trinity College Dublin in partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London. She also brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as both a musician and music educator, having received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Maynooth University, a Professional Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Kodály Music Pedagogy from the Kodály Institute of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Hungry.
Kate Daly
Engagement Officer
Kate is the Engagement Officer with Sing Ireland. In 2010, Kate completed her B.A in Arts; Music (performance) & English from NUI Maynooth, she received her M.A in Community Music at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick in 2020 and is currently engaging in an arts practice PhD here.
In her home place of County Clare, Kate is musical director with the Lismorahaun Singers choir and is a community group singing facilitator for projects with schools, participants with a disability, festival song circles, and people in addiction recovery. Kate also works as a group singing facilitator on the Sing Ireland Song Seeking programme.
Daniel Clements
Finance Officer
Daniel is a fully qualified chartered accountant, having spent four years as a Tax Associate with KPMG in Belfast. Most recently Daniel has been working as the administrator of the Charles Wood Festival and Summer School based in Armagh and was involved in all the financial and operational aspects of the organisation.
Daniel achieved first class honours in Economics and French at Queen’s University Belfast and undertook a year-long marketing and communications internship in a multinational engineering firm based in France. Daniel is also an assistant organist at St George’s Parish Church in Belfast, having previously been an organ scholar at St Finnian’s, Cregagh. He has played for live BBC Radio Ulster broadcasts and accompanies numerous choirs and soloists, as well as teaching piano. He has also acted as a répétiteur for ballet classes and graded dance exams.
