AOIC, under the guidance of Bernie Sherlock, Director of Educational Programmes, runs a year-round programme of courses, initiatives and events designed to stimulate choral activity, increase skills of choral conductors and singers and to raise the profile of choral music in Ireland.
Training & Professional Development
Conductors, singers and musicians wising to develop their skills can choose from a number of training and professional development opportunities, such as courses, masterclasses and mentoring positions offered by AOIC.

Initiatives
AOIC plans a number of initiatives each year. 2010 sees the continuation of the highly successful National Choral Singing Week to mark World Mental Health Week. New in 2010 is the Dawn Chorus - an initiative run in partnership with Active Retirement Ireland and the Bealtaine Festival.
